Review: THE CAN DO DUCK

THE CAN DO DUCK
A story about believing in yourself
by Ducktor Morty, M.D.
illustrated by Arielle, Sarah, and Esther

In the first of the "Can Do Duck" Series, The Can Do Duck is an encouraging and inspiring story of bravery, confidence and positive messages.  The book explains how "Can Do", a young developing duck, receives his name and the importance of believing in your self.

The powerful message of this book is timeless - You can do anything you set your mind to doing.  I love how "Can Do" has a slow start among his sibling, which ultimately allows him to grasp a can do attitude deeply, leading to his triumphing success later in the storyIt reads like a classic Dr. Seuss book, full of rhyme with reason ... and it is lots and lots of fun, especially when reading it out loud.   An instant classic!

Can Do And Friends To The Rescue
A Story About Getting Along and Working Together
written by Ducktor Morty, M.D.
illustrated by Arielle, Sarah, and Esther

This is a fun story about dealing with opposition, in a healthy and productive way.  Early in the story, when the animals seek "Can Do" to help save the community pond, "Can Do" plans on resorting to violence ... quickly realizing that this is not the way to do it.  "Can Do's" charm invites the reader into a world of positive affirmations and joyful celebration of togetherness and brotherly love, oneness and harmony among the animals and the humans.  Deeply moving and powerful.  Another classic!

The powerful, affirming messages of these books absorb deeply and quickly into a child's mind, creating healthy and positive attitudes and beliefs.  I recommend them to all teachers and parents.
