The classic hit song by John Denver, "Take Me Home, Country Road" takes me back to my youth, perhaps the perfect place to be to review Grandma's Feather Bed, from Dawn Publications.
The first thing that I noticed is the great artwork. It is bright, vivid, fun for children ... highly expressive, with lots of details, making the book interesting for adults too.
Grandma's Feather Bed, a softcover children's picture book based on the famous song written by Jim Connor, was made famous by musician John Denver. He sang it on the Muppet Show. The book includes the history and information about the development of the song and book and a music score, if you are musically inclined. The hard back copy also includes a CD.
John Denver's Grandma's Feather Bed is a fun book. I found it to be delightful ... a joyful experience for children to sing along, especially when they are filled to the bubbling brim with energy.
