Review: Aaron White and Anthony Wakeman - Handprints of Our People

The acoustic guitar of Aaron White and the cedar flute Anthony Wakeman invoke quiet strength and tranquility with Handprints Of Our People, released from Canyon Records.

Known to play a mean guitar, with his signature finger-picking, Aaron White is a legend in his time.  A tireless touring musician who has shared the stage with many over the years, White's finger-picking charm cascades out of this album ... truly brilliant.  A modern blend of rock, blues and reggae, all tied together with Native roots and electrical riffs.  His music has been used for many commercials, independent films and PBS documentaries and was even nominated for a Grammy in 2004.

Anthony Wakeman has been playing the Native American flute for over 15 years.  He has collaborated with some of the most respected Native American musicians of our time.  Wakeman has performed at many museums, art galleries and resorts.  There is great strength in his eyes ... and his music is inspiring, soulful and genuine.

This album is easy to listen to, very relaxing and meditative.  Perfect for yoga sessions.  This is my favorite album to listen to while camping, as it feels as though the music summons the nature spirits ... to come and play with me!  I love the layout, covered in handprints.  I can read their palms ... and I do.
