Review: Libre glass ’n poly Original

The Libre Loose Leaf Tea Glass, known also as the glass 'n poly is a unique invention that allows you to brew your tea from the safe container that you will drink it from.  It is made with a health-conscious glass interior for fresh taste and a durable polycarbonate exterior.  The stainless steel tea filter is surrounded by BPA free polypropylene as is the lid interior.  The cost is around $25.

This is genius ... I have been wanting something like this for a long time.  If you love loose tea this is a must-have.  The design is gorgeous.  They certainly did not cut any corners in the looks department and this bad boy is so durable that it is hard to break.

A +++

Duchess Marden Face Cream

Duchess Marden was inspired by a journey the founder, Marla Steuer took with her husband to Southeast Asia.  Following a desert trek in India, she came upon pure rose water and discovered charm, ritual, scent and pleasure all at once. When she learned of the many benefits of the rose, she was inspired to share this precious secret with everyone ... and so Duchess Marden was born.

I have been a huge Duchess Marden lover, ever since I was introduced to it.  The products are fabulous, healing, natural and deeply penetrating.  The signature Duchess Marden scent is lovely ... as natural as having a rose sitting at your side.  Duchess Marden is the cream of the crop.

Many woman have a tough time finding a great face cream.  I sure did.  This is by far my absolute favorite face cream ... ever.  Of course I love the signature rose scent.  I love the bottle - see image on left.  It is not ridiculously priced like many higher end products and it is all natural.  No bad chemicals or poisons in this bottle - no sir.  These I love, but what I love the most about this cream is the way it makes my skin look and feel.  First of all it absorbs quickly and is never oily.  Then it plumps my face in such a way where my wrinkles disappear - they really do.  It  also evens out my complexion, so I do not need to use as much make-up.  It has vitamins and minerals in it to help improve cellular metabolism and mushroom extracts to help fade skin discolorations.  This luxurious cream also contains organic shea butter, apricot oil, cetyl babassuate, and hydrolyzed oat protein add soothing moisture to dry damaged skin.

I LOVE IT!!!

Simply Organic Oils - A Review

I tried three different oils from Simply Organic: Coconut, Jojoba and Jamaican Castor.  All three are around ten for a 4 ounce glass jar.  This is a great source for oils to make your own cosmetics.  The coconut oil has a rich, heavenly scent ... like caramel delight girl scout cookies.  The scent fades a little as the oil warms up enough to pour it, although it still has a nice, natural smell to it.  Coconut oil is great to use as a skin moisturizer or on the hair.  Jojoba is also great for use on the hair and skin.  I love blending the jojoba and coconut oil and then keeping it in the frig.  I use this is a lotion on my face and body.  The castor oil can be used numerous ways.  It is especially useful for regrowing the hair and also for message.  I use the castor oil to make a castor oil pack as Edgar Cayce had taught.  It is wonderful for this purpose.

Golden Earth Giveaway!

Golden Earth products are made from all natural ingredients using only high quality, pure, therapeutic grade essential oils.  This is the good stuff.  The scents are subtle and soft, never aggressive or heavy.  The packaging is beautiful ... unique, colorful and geometric, magical in design as well as in karmic energy and intention.

From the Golden Earth website

"At golden earth, we create organic aromatherapy lotions, chakra oils, perfumes, and body products that promote wellness for the body, mind and spirit. our natural products are made from the finest natural ingredients from around the world including pure therapeutic grade essential oils, which are aromatic plant extracts and crystal infusions. with each of our aromatherapy and body care products, we continually delight our customers with their own spiritual renewal, physical revitalization, and emotional rejuvenation."

I tried three oils: Chakra 1, Chakra 4 and Euphoria.  They run around 20 a piece and arrive in beautiful pyramid shaped boxes, rich in symbolism and nearly levitating. The scents are very light, so light that you will want to apply them every few hours or so.  They never-ever cause any reaction on my skin, no matter how many times I apply and I actually think that they may have a moisturizing effect.  You could not put too much on if you tried, a nice quality, esp. if dowsing yourself in perfume is habit.  All three scents are lovely ... I especially like the chakra oils, as they have intent and purpose, as well as making you smell nice.

I also tried some lotion and body wash.  The chakra one lotion is incredible - spicy and invitingThe love lotion is not only blessed with a great name ... it also smells divine.  A very floral lotion, love lotion has lavender, rose and jasmine - all my favorites.  The Golden Earth lotions have lots of nourishing, good for you oils and butters.  The love body wash is nice too, esp when you have the lotion to use right after.

I am so happy to be able to offer a Golden Earth giveaway.  One lucky winner will receive a Golden Earth product of choice.  This is a prize you will want to win.  To enter leave a comment below.  Each comment is an additional chance to win.  Email me at angel at hotmail dot com and let me know how many times to enter you.  i check comments so please be accurate.  Remember each comment is an additional chance so comment as much as you want.  If you like Golden Earth on Facebook and let me know I will give you an extra entry.  A winner will be selected randomly on the first day of June.  Good Luck everyone!!!

Black Phoenix Alchemy Lab Reviews

A perfume connoisseur, I am naturally drawn toward Black Phoenix Alchemy Lab.  The lab specializes in darker, romantic, unique scents with gothic, renaissance, and medieval themes.  These potions, aromatherapy blends, bath and body products, and herbal household accoutrements are unmatched, reasonably priced and have a HUGE assortment to choose from.

I am a BPAL addict ... I cannot get enough Black Phoenix Alchemy Lab Perfume Oils.

I received 8 new blends: Djinn, Snake Oil, Nephilim, Queen, Mandrake, Blood, Blood Kiss and The Coiled Serpent.

My favorite thing about all of these is that they do not hide on the skin ... they stand out.  I can smell them on my skin, invoking and arousing deep parts within me ... stirring my soul and awakening me, beckoning me to LIVE.  The scents all last on my skin and I do not have to keep on reapplying them.  Most of the time I can smell them in the morning ... on my pillow, in the sheets and on my skin.

Djinn: Sharp, Sweet, Earthy and Green ... Djinn is incense-like, woodsy in all the right places.  According to BPAL, the Djinn are an ancient, free-willed race created from the essence of Fire who prowled the land at night, vanishing with the first rays of dawn. Myths surrounding the Djinn paint them as benevolent champions of mankind as well as slaves to mad sorcerers.  Some even say that they are the malicious incubi / succubi, energy vampires or malevolent harbingers of madness and disease.  This scent is said to be of black smoke, of crackling flames, and smoldering ashes.  A BPAL favorite ...

Blood Kiss:  Sweet, exotic an sensual, I always get a lots of compliments with this one.  Intense and seductive, my heart cannot help but skip a beat.  This one is must-have in my collection.

Blood: Much more bold then blood kiss.  Spicy, rich and strong, blood is not for the faint of heart.  It screams rebellion, with a wild and passionate warning.  If you are brave it will invite you in, if not it will have you packing your bags and running for cover.

Nephilim: Hyssop, fig, frankincense, patchouli, lavender, rosemary, cypress, cardamom, tamarind, oakmoss and vetiver unify to create this powerfully awakening potion that will tickle you in ways you did not know were possible.  A very different scent ... pleasant, but different.  It is hard to detect any of the initial ingredients, as they all blend so well to create this oil.  Unusual, yet nice.

Mandrake:  This oil has an immediate effect on my senses, invoking a love of nature, trees and dirt within me.  Visions of running barefoot through damp woods, my feet filthy from the forest's floor, my legs caked in moss.  Decaying trees, wild shrooms, rain, moss and wet muddy skin ... with a hint of real mandrake.

A plant of true arcane power, mandrake has been used in a multitude of ways, especially by magical people for centuries.  Also called Djinn’s Eggs and the Weed of Ill Omen, Mandrake has a distinctive shape in the form of a human.  Medicinally, the root was chewed as a simple anasthesia, and it has been widely employed as a sleep drug.  This magickal plant  is believed to grow where the semen of a hanged man has fallen onto the earth, and that when it is plucked from the earth, the plant itself shrieks in agony.

I especially like this perfume oil on warm Summer nights.  It will resonate with nature lovers and those who like piercing, earthy scents.

Queen:  Not as wild, or dark as many of the other scents, this perfume oil would be nice enough to give as a gift to any of the ladies in your life ... even mom.  It has a golden, classiness about it that says, I am a Queen and nothing is too good for me.  Sweet, alluring, powerful and wealthy ... pleasant scent.  Great for all occasions, especially when people should know who's in the seat of power.

Snake Oil:  This is a very popular oil, one of BPAL's top sellers.  My thoughts -  it certainly is a very nice scent, warm, rich, sweet, sexual and inviting.  The magnetic nature of this oil may surprise you ... Snake oil is a blend of exotic Indonesian oils sugared with vanilla, Snake oil is spicy and sweet in all the right places.  Yummyyy ... creates desires you did not know you had.  Don't let the name fool you, this is one snake oil that really is a medicine, it will bring you to life ... arousing all sorts of invitations with your invoked snake-like charm.  You naturally become an object of temptation.

Coiled Serpent:  The initial sniff is quite sharp.  Then I notice the predominant patchouli note, as well as other earthy and green herbs.  Cedar or pine perhaps ... This is a potent and strong yogic oil that is said to stimulate the kundalini, provokes spiritual awakening, and releases the energy seated in your root chakra.  I use this with my yogic practice.  Not only does it make my yoga a little more sensual and pleasurable ... it also creates a meditative trigger through scent.  I have found that I can induce deep meditation when using this oil because I use it during my moving meditation, yoga sessions.  It smells really good too, so I do and so does my yoga mat.

Perfume Reviews: House of Matriarch

The House of Matriarch is for perfume connoisseurs who prefer artisan, handcrafted fragrances.  This is an addicting venture, perfume obsession is common.  You have been warned!!!

Everything about Carmine is fabulous.  I am completely head over heals with this scent.  In fact it makes me fall in love with life all over again.  Carmine is created in a costly ancient tradition, returning the wearer to the basic truth that nature is the ultimate luxury.  This fragrance is haunting, one sniff and you will be drunken with pleasure.  There is a sort of magical quality to Carmine, leaving yourself and everyone who comes close spellbound.  Your secret desires will be aroused and you will soon begin to attract into your life everything and everyone that you want.  Powerful, sexy and oh so luxurious, Carmine will bring out the natural mystic within.  Esoteric, exotic, earthy, floral and liqueour-like, Carmine is the scent of animal magnetism, of intense emotional and passionate truth.  The initial invitation is to pour it over some ice and drink. Carmine invokes different emotions and releases different parts of itself in different environments, releasing a darker, edgier side at timesThis is truly exceptional natural perfume ... a sorcerers potion!

Rose is the sole heart note in this perfume, although it has a scent all its own.  Feminine, floral and earthy, this is a great perfume to wear when you want to connect to the sweetness of life.  The fragrance simply put is lovely, invoking images of romance under the light of the moon on a warm summer night. Classy and clean, En Tendre invokes the goddess within.
With notes of tangerine, pepper, tansy, gardenia, neroli, tuberose, oak moss and jasmine, the seductive-feminine quality of Destiny is hard to ignore.  I feel bathed and anointed by mythologies favorite characters, in the warmth of a starlit and foggy summer stream, surrounded by forest, moss and aromatic wildflowers.  The future beckons ... and I am ready!

Review: The Keys to the Universe Cards by Diana Cooper & Kathy Crosswell

If you already have the Keys to the Universe book, the Keys to the Universe Cards are the perfect accompaniment.  I do not have the book and for that reason the cards were a little "out there" for me, however I did still gain from drawing a card for inspiration and guidance.  Each card contains exactly 144 words, thereby resonating the Divine energy of Source.  There are 50 keys, 48 of which enable readers to unlock the secrets of other realms, such as the animal or natural kingdoms, the elements, archangels and other angelic beings, cosmic masters, and wisdom centers; and two Golden Cosmic Keys, Hollow Earth and Sirius. Two cards with specific instructions and explanation for use of the deck are included.

I like this deck, although it is rather deep and wildly confusing if you are new to the subject of Atlantis, Angelic Realms and Sacred Numerology.  The accompany book is necessary, unless you are already well-versed on these subjects.

Review: Playing Card Oracles Book & Deck Set

I love playing card divination, so I was naturally drawn toward this oracle, inspired by the playing cards.  It came through the mail, so I never really got a chance to see it in person until it arrived on my doorstep.  As soon as I took it out of the box I felt a very strange connection ... something familiar about this deck and book ... the image ... dejavu, perhaps ... it was an odd familiar, strange old feeling that came over me.  The feeling I used to have when I began to study twenty years ago.  It was as though I had seen this deck and book before, as though we had already met somehow, somewhere ... and maybe we have ... maybe we somehow have met before.

Sharing a life-long fascination for prophecy and the divinatory arts, both have felt strongly guided in their work together, a rare father-daughter team, Ana Cortez and C. J. Freeman (author and illustrator) combine their talents with this original and one-of-a-kind Playing Card Oracles deck and book set.

Each card is illustrated, many tarot trumps are presented within the playing cards and the tens of each suit become a female court card ... bringing harmony to the male/ female equation.  A student of the tarot and playing cards ... as there is interconnection here throughout history, I found this deck and the book to be completely fascinating.  Many of the cards correlate with my own understandings of the cards, although all but one of the elemental correspondences differ from my own teachings.
For example, hearts are hearts no matter which source you go to ... cups, hearts, emotions ... you will find little disagreement here.  However, clubs, spades and diamonds have different elements they represent with different systems.  The most interesting thing about this important detail, concerning this deck is that many of the card meaning still fit in with traditional description and definition, although they are ruled by a different element.  Also, important to note that many of the ideas presented are new, the creation of the artist and author.  This is not a traditional deck, although it has certainly been inspired by tradition, history, myth and intuition.  I love the information about astrological numerological correspondences.  There is great symbolism presented and lots of wisdom ... alchemy, numerology, astrology, geomancy and much for.

Review: Art of Life

The Art of Life Tarot deck is a brilliant and unique ... a special deck that will capture all those who love both the tarot and art.  The creator of this deck, Charlene Livingstone has taken her experience as an art historian and and teacher has done a gorgeous and remarkable job.  Each card of the deck features a well-known work of art paired with an insightful quotation.  You may of course use the deck to read, or for daily inspiration.  The box allows you to display a card as if it were a painting on an easel. My favorite part about this deck is that the cards tell you where the original painting is located, including if it is owned by a private collector.

Made up of 78 art masterpieces by some of the greatest artists of our history including Klimt, Renoir, Van Gogh and da Vinci, The Art of Life Tarot is stunning and original.   Each card includes an inspiring and thought provoking quote from the greats of literature, including two of my favorites - Plato and Lao-tsu.

A mini gallery in a box, The Art of Life Tarot deck is genius!  Visit U.S. Games for more information.

Ascension Cards by Diana Cooper

As Diana Cooper points out, the next twenty years offers the greatest opportunity for spiritual growth that there has ever been in the history of the planet. The energies that are coming into Earth enable you to raise your frequency enabling you to live a happier, harmonious and more colorful and rich life.

Diana Cooper's Ascension Cards are very different than any of my other oracle decks in my collection ... and I like that!  You can pick an Ascension Card for daily guidance.  Many people use them as a study course working through them on a daily basis, practicing the suggestions and doing the affirmations.  Each of the 52 cards offers a description of a specific ascension energy or Ascended Master, guidance on its use, and an affirmation to assist with assimilation of the wisdom.  A 76-page companion book is also included, as well as a great magnetic closure box to keep your cards and book in its their own sacred place.

The cards help with your own personal ascension path ... lifting you up and accelerating the process in a beautiful way.  The affirmations are very empowering and encouraging ... stirring the soul into wakeful liveliness and open the heart to all of life.

Diana Cooper says that during the golden age of Atlantis everyone had twelve fifth dimensional chakras fully operational and with them twelve strands of active DNA, enabling them to access and use wondrous psychic and spiritual gifts while living in total harmony and happiness.  The Ascension Cards delve deeper into this subject, as well as ascension in general.  This book and card kit is intensely interesting, yet simple and powerful.  A powerful set ...

Although I like these cards, they may not be the right cards for someone who is completely new to this sort of self-help or oracle.  They are more for novice or adepts in this area, although the information certainly is easy to understand and follow.  Some beginner aspirants may work well with them ...

Review: Diana Cooper's Angels of Light Cards

The Angels of Light Cards by Diana Cooper are an exquisite deck of 52 Angel cards, each of which represent a different angel quality plus 2 additional instruction cards.  I love this deck because the messages are simple and easy to understand, yet deeply meaningful.  They bring great clarity to situations that I feel confused about and guide me toward the best action to take.

The cards serve to help connect with the angelic realm, raising the consciousness and frequency of those who use them.  This is my favorite angel deck because it gives such clear guidance and makes me feel empowered, strong and joyful.  Each card has an affirmation on the bottom and the box and designed to become a card holder, so you can showcase a new card each day.

Review: Dreaming Way Tarot

The Dreaming Way Tarot is a colorful deck of Tarot cards that follows traditional and classic tarot symbolism in a vibrant and artistic modern expression.  Dreamy and beautiful, the Dreaming Way Tarot makes me happy.  I can fall into the images themselves.  The characters at time seem to almost want to speak to me ... and if I listen long enough, engulfed in the card ... they do.  The art by the popular Korean artist Kwon Shina is stunning ... a beautiful deck of the Tarot that explores numerological as well as elemental influences.

This is a great deck for the beginner and seasoned alike ... a must-have for all collectors.
