I used to think of make-up as the correction of some kind of flaw, error or mistake. The truth, however, is that make-up has been evolving and minerals have given rise to a growing trend in the industry; make-up that is good for your skin. The Importance of "Bismuth Free" Mineral Foundation

Another really great thing about Mineral Hygenics is that it is bismuth-free. Most mineral foundations are not. Two of the most common complaints about mineral make-up can be attributed to the bismuth. For some people, bismuth can cause skin reactions, sometimes severe. Your skin might become irritated, itchy, red, burning, break-out or look swollen. Yep, that is bismuth for ya. Not everyone has these reactions, myself being one of those lucky ones, but a lot of others do.

My experience

I had been to the Mineral Hygenics website and had heard great reviews about their products. I was so excited to give this brand of minerals a chance to stand up to their claims of being the absolute best mineral make-up on the market. One thing that I really like about Mineral Hygienics foundation is the wide selection of shades. I have a difficult time matching up, either looking too dark or too light. It was easy to find the perfect color, especially since customer service helped me out a lot with this mission.

The process of applying Mineral Hygienics was pretty much the same as the other mineral makeup lines. Mineral Hygienics also sent along a Full Coverage Kabuki Brush. I am completely hooked to this brush. It is soft and is the perfect companion to the mineral powders. The foundation went on very easily, without any major powder fall-out. It looked very natural on my skin, and did not settle into any fine lines. This is a great make-up line to use daily, especially in the heat of summer time because it is long lasting, water and sweat proof.

The website claims "This keeps you looking perfect til bedtime." I found this to be true. The long-lasting wear of the makeup, along with the light weight feel, makes Mineral Hygienics fantastic. My skin looked luminous and beautiful all day when I wore it. My husband even commented on how gorgeous I looked. He always does, but he specifically commented on my skin, and that is why I put it on in the first place. Yep, I found a keeper here. I also found a keeper with this make-up line. I love it and I hope you do too.
