Review: Roonie B. Moonie: Lost and Alone By Janan Cain

Roonie B. Moonie: Lost and Alone By Janan Cain
Lost and Alone is a book about the adorable, young and brave bumble bee, Roonie B. Moonie whose day promised more adventure than he was prepared for.  The day began perfect for exploring and Roonie was buzzing with excitement.  In his heart he yearned to be like his hero, the great explorer Christopher Columblebee.  Although his mother tried to review the safety rules for being outside the hive, Roonie was so eager and impatient that he neglected to pay attention.  Poor Roonie soon found himself in a not-so-fun situation, lost and alone.

This delightful picture book, illustrated by Janan Cain’s, is a lesson for children about getting lost and finding their way home.  Teaching children to stay calm and listen to their feelings when they are lost or in danger, Lost and Alone is not only important, it is a necessity.  The story is fun, the illustrations remarkable and the message about safety is easy for children to understand and follow.
