Colin O' Donohoe is a name that everyone will soon recognize. He began a global movement back in 2008 known as the Pangean Orchestra, living
proof that music is a universal language. Pangean comes from the word
Pangea which is derived from Ancient Greek, pan meaning "entire," and
Gaia meaning "Earth.

The Pangean Orchestra brings people and instruments together from all
over the world, creating some of the most dynamic music that I have ever
heard. Speaking in a unified voice, in the language of music, it
symbolically represents the one planet that is the home that we all share.

The Pangean Orchestra is a world music project that is unlike any other.
Although not all the musicians speak the same language, with the
direction of the professional conductor, performer and composer - Colin
O’Donohoe, a one-of-kind blend emerges. It has a large range of styles,
from ancient folk songs to modern electonica style pieces.

This is the first orchestra of its kind, an amazing and original idea,
giving us a look into different cultures and unique instruments. I never
knew I was missing out on the variety of musical instruments that are

A music journey through many cultures,/Songs Of The Saints /(Ocean
Media, LLC, 2007) is a fusion of world music influences, each song a
reflection of the ideas the artist has about the saints that are a part
of this album.

Colin's musical style in this album is so unique, unlike anything I have
ever heard before. /Songs of the Saints/ is in a class all its own. You
can hear a little bit of Asia, some Middle East, a touch of Africa ... a
wide variety of influence from all over the globe, rich in diversity and
sound.

The album has a wide range of styles including jazz, hip-hop, world,
easy listening and rock and roll. It has a diverse climate, my moods
changing moment by moment. Sometimes I feel sad, at times excited, other
times compassionate, sometimes filled with love and even frightened
other times ... You name an emotion and I am sure this album will
trigger it in you. Full of character, without limitations, distinct in
elements and qualities, /Songs of the Saints /is an emotional roller
coaster ride unlike anything you have ever experienced before.

/Songs of the Saints/ is gift to us all, a bridge to the world of
spirit. This spiritual, world album has interwoven elements of
Christianity expressed with a modern twist. Each song resonates with the
titled Saint in an almost mystical way, as though Colin was divinely
inspired by the presence of the Saints themselves. The songs tell the
story of the saint, in a way only music could.

I am completely hooked to track five, /St Sebastian/. It begins and ends
with what sounds like a church bell and contains haunting vocals,
intense drumming and wild record-scratching sounds.

My prediction for this album is that several of the tracks will find
themselves a nice role in the movies, especially track two and five,
devoted to St. Francis of Assisi and St Sebastian. The vocals on both
tracks are angelic, giving me visions of flying over vast territory and
land, looking for heart's that need my help.

The album showcases O'Donohoe's talent for creating a rich and diverse
musical composition, that adds a wealth of ambiance and atmosphere when
played. His talent for expressing ideas through music is pure genius,
the mark of a truly talented artist.
