Review: Elemental Tarot for Kids, Rayne Storm

Elemental Tarot For Kids, created by Rayne Storm and published by Schiffer Publishing, Ltd, is a 71 card Tarot deck, created for children nine years and up.  What is so simplistically exceptional about this children's tarot deck, is that anything considered scary or dark, such as the devil or death, has been omitted, specifically designed for a younger developing child.  Rayne Storm has done an excellent job creating this deck, as it is the perfect way to give a child a source of positive reflection and answers to everyday concerns and spiritual curiosities.

 This boxed set includes:
  • 13 Major Arcana cards (1:Karma, 2:Dharma, 3:Butterfly, 4:Doors, 5:Rock, 6:World Tree, 7:Wheel of the Year, 8:The Stars, 9:The Sun, 10:The Moon,  11:The World, 12:Goddess and 13:God)
  • Minor Arcana (Suits: Earth, Water, Air and Fire) including court cards for each - Paige, Sage, Mage and Shaman.
  • Two cards are dedicated to spreads (1 card has a 1-card spread and a 3-card spread, the other has a 5-card spread), and the remaining 4 cards are teaching guides ... a great idea I must add.
  • Workbook
  •  Box for storage with magnetic closure
I nearly missed the hidden chamber beneath the cards, as there is a secret compartment for the book.  How fun?  A child could easily carry the book around separate and use the compartment as they wish ... stones, feathers, a notepad, etc.  What a clever idea!   I wonder if this is what Rayne Storm had in mind when she designed it?

The book is well-written and informative, perfect for a child or an adult, revealing details about each card, important definitions and isolated symbolism.  Practice worksheets, a test and certificate of achievement are including as well ... another great idea.

I highly recommend the Elemental Tarot for Kids for those who have young people in their life that are showing an interest in oracles and divination.
