Review: R. Carlos Nakai & James DeMars- Spirit Horses

Emotive, evocative and intense, Spirit Horses sounds a lot like a film score.  I would love to find that it has found its way to a motion picture, as it would add great emotional depth to the characters and screenplay of a film.  I feel like I am part of a movie when it is playing, an array of archetypes released within me ... claiming their moment of life.

Nakais' Native American flute is without comparison, leading the tribe of musical elements of ethnic, jazz and classical sounds.  Composer and conductor James De Mars has created a gorgeous fusion of musical elements as a backdrop for Nakai's flute.  Famous for his cross-cultural collaborations, Nakais' flute is an authentic and powerful voice that speaks in the language of music.  Truly amazing ... highly recommended!
