I found this interesting and cool invention that got my husband (with the bad back) all excited. It is called
Walking Wings and I have never seen anything like it before. Walking Wings are a support vest that securely fastens
around the chest of the baby and has two adjustable straps for parents
to hold while baby learns to walk and attempts to take those first

I love Walking Wings. This products has been tremendously helpful in teaching baby to walk, while preventing back pain for us parents. Baby falls less often, which is worth getting it alone.
