Review: Sedona

The motion picture Sedona, released in August 22, 2012, is a charming, unique and magical movie with a great story line and beautiful cinematography.

Sedona has a world wide reputations for being a spiritual power spot, a vortex.  Some of the most gifted healers, artists, psychics, spirtualists, artists and celebrities have visited Sedona, Arizona to experience the spiritual town and red-rock temples.  Sedona is said to bring nourishment to the soul.  Even a short visit is said to be an enriching experience.  The majesty of the red and orange rocks is enough to pull you into Sedona, as they are alive with passion and heart opening, soul-stirring presence!  The natural beauty of Sedona is extraordinary from any perspective, but the closer you get, the deeper your experience will be and that is what makes this picture so exceptional ... it takes you inside Sedona.


The film captured the gorgeaous red mountains of Sedona exceptionally well.  The story line filled with colorful characters with an interesting plot with a nice twist toward the end that has the viewer in deep thought by the time the end credits begins.  Lives and time lines entangled, twisted and in sync ...

Truly lovely!  A feel-good movie that captured the heart and spirit of Sedona quite well.  Many of the extras in the movie were actually locals ... I cannot wait to visit Sedona myself and plan to trip to the red rocks very soon.  I really enjoyed this film.


Sedona is a charming, modern, mystical and delightful movie, that is light with a spirtual depth that resonates with everyone in a different way.   Sedona is the perfect motion picture to watch with the entire family.

Book Review: Pagan Metaphysics 101, By Springwolf

Reverend Vicki Carey, D.D., Ph.D., also known as Lady Springwolf has put together a collection a well written, well-researched information on principles of pagan metaphsysics.   

Pagan Metaphysics 101: The Beginning of Enlightenment (Schiffer Publishing, August 30, 2011) is a the perfect book for a neophyte, the curious and the seasoned metaphysician alike.  I found this book to be quite interesting, a different approach to metaphysical sciences than many of the other books I have read.  It would make a great teachers guide and is a nice addition to any metaphysicians' library. 

Topics include metaphysical basics, where to begin, soul groups, root races, cosmic cycles, working with energy, kundalini, chakras, karma, universal human and much more. 
 
A great resource guide, especially for beginners!  I like the way Springwolf writes.

I read somewhere awhile ago that poetry can light a fire in a person's life.  Ever since then I have wanted to explore the realms of great poets, increasing my own writing abilities and keeping my life warm.  It never hurts to know where the fireplace is, you know?

The trouble with my desire to become more poetic in my life, left me eager yet perplexed as to where to go to learn more about it.  The market is full of poetry books and I did not have a clue as to where I should begin.  I was ecstatic when I found this course from Sounds True, as they are quite trustworthy when bringing great talent into the light. 

David Whyte, an English poet, is purely brilliant in this 6 CD set.  Clear Mind, Wild Heart is like taking a college course in your living room.  Whyte takes you on a six hour ride through many verses of inspired voices such as Rainer Maria Rilke, William Blake, Antonio Machado, Emily Dickinson, W.B. Yeats, Marina Tsvetayeva and many others, including his own work.  He opens the listeners eyes when looking at the world, pulling you into a world of your own, yet guided by a path paved by many.  

The language of poetry is unlike any other, giving life a richer array of color or lack there of.  I find that when I study the poetry of others or am writing my own, it is as though time stops and the present moment is all there is.  It is magical in that way.  Poetry allows expression of the unique lens that each of us has, our own view.  Painting pictures with words, the reader must meditate and concentrate on the meaning and that is when the magic dust falls from the heavens and life becomes more vivid and true and real!!!
