The Magical Times Empowerment Cards are all around stunning.  From the uniquely cut and colorful box, the the gorgeous artwork on each card, and the inspiring messages they contain.  The watercolor paintings are truly lovely ... realistic yet fantasy.  If you love fairies and dragons ... like me ... this is one deck you will want.  It bridges age barriers, perfect for anyone who has the fantasy in their hearts, although it is probably a more feminine deck ... There is a lot to love about this deck.  I have noticed that people are drawn to it.  If I have it out somewhere where company can see it, there eyes ... or hands ... gravitate toward it.

Stunning, colorful, original and helpful, the Conscious Spirit Oracle Deck, a 44 card oracle deck has a feminine, magical quality that only few decks contain.  I love them from top to bottom, front to back, left to right ... I love the descriptions, the artwork and everything else about them.  I love working with them, and often incorporate them into my professional intuitive readings, simply because they are so beautiful to look at ... Sometimes I mediate on a card I pick randomly, sometimes I meditate on the back of the card ... I find this to be one the most gorgeous choices for the back of the deck that I have ever seen ...

Review: The Greening

The Greening: What if a Book Could Answer All Your Deepest Questions . . . If You were Willing to Risk Everything? 

 The Greening, by Margaret Coles is one of the best fiction books that I have read this year.  Interesting, unique and spiritual, I could not put it down until it was finished ... and then, I read it again.  It took me a week to read it twice.  I am predicting a best-seller here.  

Joanna, the main character, is a journalist who stumbles upon a very personal journal written by a girl named Anna Leigh. 

 If you love spiritual, mysteries ... or if you don't, you will love The Greening.  I have received this book from Hay House Publishing Company for the sole purpose of review. My review is solely based on my opinion of this title.

Review: Tarot, Rituals, & You: The Power of Tarot Combined with the Power of Ritual

As a tarot professional myself I am always on the look-out for a good new Tarot book to read.  Bonnie Cehovet has been a favorite for quite some time, so when I saw that she wrote a book on the Tarot and rituals I was overly excited to say the least ... and I was not disappointed.  The Tarot is meant for ritual, with its archetypal energy and beautiful imagery.  Through combining ritual tools of empowerment, we strengthen who we are as individuals.  Tarot, Rituals, & You is a well-written 96 page informative book that any tarot enthusiast will enjoy. Recommended!
 

Thyme Maternity

Has anyone noticed the price of maternity clothing?  Way too high, most of the time ... if you want something nice anyhow.  I was really excited when contacted the other day to review some clothing from the Thyme Maternity Line, which sells at babies-r-us.  I expected them to be expensive, especially after I put them on ... and was surprised when I realized how reasonable this maternity line really is.  I am really impressed by this alone, because so many brands are priced so high and often out-of-reach.

I felt like Kate Moss, strutten' my stuff for hubby down the kitchen runway.  He is the true test, issuing the only seals-of-approval that I need ... and the verdict?  Well, let's learn a bit more about Thyme Maternity first ...

Thyme Maternity has an entire line of maternity and nursing clothing ... from dresses, to slacks, shirts, casual, dressy and everything in between.  They are all reasonably priced.

I was sent three different pieces from the line to review ... Thyme Maternity Now & After Long Sleeve V-Neck Stretch Tee, Petite Thyme Maternity MODERN Dress Pant with 3 in 1 Panel and the Thyme Maternity Now & After Short-Sleeve V-Neck Tee.  All three pieces are great quality and fit me exceptionally well and look really nice on me.  I was fortunate enough to have a few friends to help me review these pieces, which really worked out well because the tops are for wearing while pregnant and also after, while nursing.  We love them all ... LOVE THEM!!!  The tops are nice, casual and easy to wear on a daily basis.  These slacks are dressy, nice for work ... and extremely comfy.  They fold three ways for extra comfort and make it really easy to pair them with tops.  I love this brand.

Jo MacDonald Hiked in the Woods

Jo MacDonald Hiked in the Woods is a fun and colorful book that is a celebration of the outdoors.  I love how the engaging and catchy this song is.  The young ones catch on quickly, singing the familiar tune to the grandparents who can certainly sing along with them.  Highly recommended - E-I-E-I-O.  The watercolor images are simply lovely ... a favorite book in the family collection.  The back of the book has further information on the animals, trees and plants of the forest community, as well as suggested indoor activities.

Over in a River

Over in a River is so much fun ... with a rhyming song that counts animal babies.  The book has hidden animals that add another dimention to a book that already contains a wealth of wonder and education.  Lots of info about rivers and river animals make this the perfect book for the little naturalists among us ...  I usually learn a lot from the nature loving books of Dawn Publications, this one included.  This is a great book for children ... and if you have a crew even better because then everyone is learning together.

I love the illustrations ... they have inspired me to create my own art with this illustrated cut-out style of colorful, original work. 

Noisy Frog Sing-Along

Noisy Frog Sing-Along, from Dawn Publications, is a cute and educational children's book all about frogs.  I certainly learned a thing or to ... Beautiful color illustrations that showcase the singing styles and appearance of members of 12 frog species, Noisy Frog Sing-Along  encourages the reader to imitate the different sounds made by them.  Many children will enjoy mimicking the diverse noises and colorful images.

It is fun to take this book camping, listening for the sounds of the frogs and trying to figure out which one's you can hear ... so much fun!

Cosmetique Review and Giveaway

It is always fun to try new make-up colors and brands.  Cosmetique is a great company and they have been around for a long, long time.  I tried three products from Cosmetique - Colorwave Lipliner, Colorwave Liptint & Sheer Radiance Face Glow.

Of the three, my favorite is the Sheer Radiance Face glow, which gives my skin a nice, fresh look ... a glow.  I have even received compliments ... love those!  The Face glow is an ultra-sheer, shimmering tint can be mixed with foundation or moisturizer for a subtle sheen, or used alone to highlight cheek and brow bones.  I like to mix it with my foundation.  

The liptint is nice, long lasting and creamy ... a pinkish shade that makes me look and feel good. Luminous and smooth, I feel like a doll with it on.  It is super conditioning and gives my lips much needed moisture, unlike some lip sticks or tints that actually dry my lips out. 

The lipliner gave me a much better look ... with a little practice and seemed to stay on for an entire work shift a few times ... It has a nice and soft feel to it, much better than some other pencils I have used and would recommend it to anyone who loves using lipliner.

My Experience ...

Me and the girls, and a few hubbies and little ones too ... tried several Imperial DAX hair care products this weekend during a product-share party.  We had a blast ... We had several DAX products to play with including the short and neat light hair dress, black bees-wax, neat waves hair dress, pomade, wave and groom, removing shampoo, restoring conditioner ... and the entire line of DAX Roots products.  DAX Roots is a line of natural hair care products that are petrolatum and mineral oil free.  We also tried out the voodoo brew from High Life Pomade, a company that is now owned by DAX.

Okay ... where to start ... what a party we had.  Well, I will begin with the love the entire group had for the entire DAX Roots products.  All products from the DAX ROOTS collection are free of  Petrolatum and Mineral Oil, contributing to healthier hair and scalp & a healthier, cleaner earth.

The Jojoba oil by DAX is one of my favorite products by this company.  It gives my hair incredible shine, smoothing away fly-aways with healthy and nutrient-rich ingredients.  It smells delicious ... like cupcakes and cotton candy.  This oil blend is rich and creamy, absorbing easily into my hair and scalp.  Using this oil is such a pleasurable experience.  The DAX Roots Jojoba blend makes a great scalp massage oil also.  Deeply conditioning, my hair has never looked healthier.  A little goes a long, long way ...  

The scent of the Bergamot Butter by DAX is basically citrus, fruity and sweet, with a warm & spicy, yet lite floral quality.  It is relaxing and yet stimulating at the same time.  Bergamot, native to Italy and named after the Italian city of Bergamo, was traditionally admired and applied for its scent.  Bergamot oil continues to be used in aromatherapy for multiple healing properties.  This important historical ingredient has been used for centuries to revitalize, invigorate and beautify the hair.

The exotic, calming and warm aroma of this butter has such a soothing and enlivening quality about it that I find myself using it often.  A few of the ingredients included in this butter are shea butter, olive oil, jojoba oil and glycerin.  The bergamot butter was formulated to reduce breakage, heal flaky scalp, reduce frizz, add shine, enliven dry or dull hair and help enhance hair length.  It helps to heal damaged hair extremely well, while preventing against future damage also.

I find this product to be yet another favorite by DAX - simply lovely.  It makes my hair really shiny without weighing it down, as long as I only use a small pea-sized amount.  Everyone agrees ... this is good stuff.

Much like real mayonnaise, the DAX ROOTS Hair Mayonnaise is also a deep conditioning and healing treatment for your hair.  All products from the DAX ROOTS line are free of  Petrolatum and Mineral Oil, a key feature in this hair treatment.  You can use this mayonnaise as a hair mask or surprisingly as a daily conditioner.  It contains almond oil, avocado oil, wheat protein, hydrolyzed collagen, jojoba seed extract and dried egg whites among the many healthy and nutritious ingredients. 

This mayonnaise by DAX is a creamy, yellow luxurious and moisturizing conditioner that penetrates deep into the hair shaft.  It has a light, pleasant scent.  I especially like using it after I swim in chlorine water for extended periods of time, because this always dries my hair out so much.  It also works great during the colder, dryer winter months to give my hair much needed moisture and tender loving care.  My husband likes it a lot too. 

The Nutra-Blend Hair Oil, a daily leave-in elixir really gives my locks a nice sheen.  A little goes a very long way.  The group found this to be a nice oil to use, especially after the hair style is complete.  If you use to much it may cause your hair to look to greasy.  It smells nice too, very subtle ...

Another hit was the voodoo pomade, which smells like heaven in a jar ... I wish I could eat it.

Years ago I began to explore the luxurious and anointing world of perfumery and I have since been obsessed with them.  I recently discovered a lovely shop on the internet called Grasse Roots Perfumery.  These perfumes are made with all natural essences and botanicals ... nothing synthetic whats-so-ever.  When available they use organic.  They have a great selection and the prices are reasonable, lower than some comparable products ... good news.  Every effort is made at Grasse Roots Perfumery to use plant materials responsibly.  If you have a known allergy, exercise discretion in your choice of perfumes ... they will help you if this is the case.  Their customer service receives and A+++. 

 I was fortunate enough to receive some samples of the solid perfumes, offered by Grasse Roots Perfumery, as well as the most delicious lip balm I have ever used.  The lip balm is all natural, and smells so yummy ... and tastes good too.  Your lips become the sweetest treat ... go ahead and kiss someone.  That is what this lip balm compels me to do anyhow.  The solid perfumes are nice, unique because they are solids, yet smell just as good as the perfume oils by Grasse Roots Perfumery ... very nice ... intoxicating, yet soft and subtle.  The scents are not too heavy.

I like the flourish perfume, as it is all natural and clean smelling - very citrus and enlivening.  The hair and body silk is great to take along to festivals because it is a 2-in-1, as well as being a bit of a perfume too.  I tried the chocolate-peppermint scented ... yummmm!!!

Kuumba Made® has a great line of Herbal First Aid.  I tried many of them of these herbal salves, including my absolute favorite the breathe deep chest rub, which smells wonderful.  These salves are highly concentrated and made of 90% and 98% organic ingredients.  All the herbs used in the herbal products are grown on organic farms or wild harvested and picked at their peak. Kuumba Made® Herbal products are made with intention, by hand, in small batches at low temperatures. This preserves their beneficial properties and makes them highly effective.  Reasonable priced, these salves are worth a try.  The prices are under ten for a nice size jar of each.  Hard to believe ... especially for great products like these.  

They have a great spa line of beauty products and these really delicious scented coconut oils.  

Kuumba Made® is one of the best companies that I have found in a long time ... my gem of the year!  There prices are completely amazing ... almost unbelievable they are priced so low.  The quality is exceptional and the products are addictive.  It could not get any better, unless they add new products.  I am in love with so many of these products.  Highly recommended!!!
